Look im not trying to be distasteful or start anything with this, its just a mere question. I saw the sad news that her man was killed , damn shame, i know the feeling sort of BUT then i read she is having a party (non related of course). Exactly how long ago did he pass?, did it happen a long while back and only became public in the last week or so, or was it made public right around the time it happened. This ones a bit of a head scratcher. I mean if it was recent it seems a little sudden to pick yourself back up and move on with your life, doesn't it?.

Hello yall I was browsing in here and came by this post. First of all I want to say Thank You to everyone that has been there for me through this hard time. I also want to say that YES, I am having a big party in OC dec.17th. It has been scheduled for some time. Ya'll dont know what I have been through in my own time. When I am out I have to be fun, happy and work hard.Just because I have a man that died dont mean I can stop my hard work. I have three kids that I love more then life its self, and they are who I have to take care of.

Mike dies on November 29, the webpage is registered November 30, it comes online December 1. Very businesslike. Per that interview with Luke, she was informed the same day that Mike died, then was sent a letter. In the case of KIA, Marines notify the next-of-kin by personal visit. One way or another, she claims to have been notified, which means his death is now public record. Yet I looked high and low not just on the CNN site but the Department of Defense's website as well. Not satisfied, I called the number at the top of the page. No Marine named Mike, Michael, or any variation died on November 29 or any day adjacent to it, according to the public information officer I spoke to. jrv, you can censure this if you want, since I know you like Nicole. Another item you missed, smilingarab is the next of kin notification. If you go to war and you're KIA or MIA, the military will notify a father, mother, wife or husband first (whatever is designated as next of kin on the DD Form 93 in a service member's personnel file. Fiance/Fiancees do NOT get the same notice because they're not considered NOK in the DoD regulations AND in the legal system (The family would have to tell the fiance/fiancee about the service member's fate. Besides that, I find it very hard to believe that Mike could get past all the DoD firewalls that block the accessing of porn and other websites that Uncle Sam doesn't want soldiers to be able to access (e.g. white supremacists. bomb making, drug use, etc.)

Yea I had my reservations as well. Way too much plugging and the anal post did it for me. It's not like I'm asking for a scanned death certificate, but the transition between introducing Mike and death seemed very fast.

GL, great post. I was saving this for a moneyshot, but I didn't know the information about not listing fiancees as next-of-kin. She's must be the next-of-kin: she doesn't say that she was notified in person, but she says she got "a letter." We know they weren't secretly married, because she told us they had set July 4, 2005 as their wedding day. How could she be his next of kin as his fiancee? I only noticed "Mike's" appearance here after my post. Take a look at this, folks. That's Mike. Five days before his untimely demise in Fallujah, he somehow commandeered a laptop and an IP phone (in the middle of the day, Iraqi time - an off-day, it would appear). He didn't just post on a message board, but took the time to register. Find out who registered, and you'll know the truth. I am willing to bet folding money it didn't come from a miitary IP block. Oh, he also posted an image of himself as his avatar (mis-sized, just like Nicole's). Where did that come from? Personnel don't run around with laptops in Iraq. Online time to check Yahoo accounts and email loved ones are precious there. He clearly wasn't a tech: he was a Marine killed in Fallujah. You'd think he'd add something like that in his post... like "Hey guys! This is Mike in Iraq!" Unless "Mike" still hadn't figured out that he was in Iraq yet. Instead he farted around online for awhile, waiting for Nicole to reply back to his posts here, while searching through his online storage accounts for a dreamy picture of himself to post.

Fiance/Fiancees & boyfriend/girlfriend are NOT considered next of kin legally and thus they're NOT allowed to be put on the DD 93 that each soldier MUST complete before deployment.

You tell me what I'm most happily doing. And then ask yourself what you'd be most happy doing and go the fuck out there and do it for goodness sakes. Quit the bitchen.
(pain meds wore off so I'm in a very confrontational mood right now, deal with it)
